Chatel transforms itself from a superb ski area into an absolutely awesome Mountain Biking area, utilising the vast array of connecting chairlifts to various parts of the Valley. Chatel is traditionally a farming village but has embraced tourism and thrives on the vibrancy it brings. Chatel does not attract hoards or masses and therefore is unspoilt, a true gem of a location. Chatel is located approx. one and half hours east of Geneva airport and therefore easily accessible for short or weekend breaks. Chatel nestles on the border of Switzerland, thus allowing us to guide you through to areas many have not yet discovered. If you do wish to explore other areas such as Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz, these are linked easily from Chatel with connecting chairlifts. Chatel also has many bars and restaurants offering great atmosphere, beer and local savoyarde dishes. There are many other activities on offer here in Chatel including the Fantasticable, a unique Zip Wire between two mountains 272 meters up in the air! Perhaps White Water rafting ??
